n the pool operations which are intended for a public use, the emphasis is laid not only on the aesthetics, but most importantly on functionality, durability and ease of maintenance. For these reasons the usual winner is mostly a concrete pool with tiling and recently mainly the stainless-steel pools.

Concrete pools with tiling (ceramic, glass)

The swimming pools serve mainly for exercise and swimming sports. They can be found either as a part of a relaxation area in the modern aquaparks or as a stand-alone pool e.g. in a sport school or in a sports centre. The advantage of the concrete is the endless shape variability, for which this material is very popular among the architects. At the same time, the high amount of joints can be a disadvantage, making the maintenance more difficult and being the weakest link in the pool water disinfection.

Stainless-steel Pools

The most attractive water relaxation centres are doubtlessly the large professional aquaparks and reconstructed public pools. During the last decade, in our country there appeared a larger number of pools made of stainless-steel, which comprises many advantages. The only limitations seem to be the cost of investment, which is mostly significantly higher than with the concrete pools, and the colour, which is determined by the material used.

A separate group of pools we work with are the rehabilitation pools and pools for swimming with infants and toddlers. These pool technologies are very demanding because of their specialisation and the target group. In most cases these are pools with high and above-standard demands for the quality of water.

Vinyl Lined Pools

The vinyl lined pools are a possible alternative, where for a relatively small investment a new quality can be created.

During many reconstructions, we are there, present right from the beginning, creating new studies at our design office. This documentation is followed by further steps, all the way to the implementation itself. We are always greatly pleased to see the great interest shown by both the adults and the children in the projects we helped to bring to life for their relaxation and fun.
